Module 1: Getting Ready To Learn

This is the first week of Study Skills (UED 102). Today all students from part 1 need to go to Dewan Titiwangsa to learn Module 1 from Dr. Fauzi Azmi. He told us that there is only 2 assessment for UED 102 which is E-Portfolio[Blog] (60%) and Group Video (40%). Every student will be given group for UED 102.

Getting ready with university life

He mostly talks about the difference between university life with school life, such as lecturer won't remind you the due date of assignment and the due date of exam unlike the teacher in school. There will be less time in class, but more time studying outside of class and students will need to read more when they have free time. University students will have fewer tests and there will be more group assignment meeting outside the class. The lecturer will not give the student the extension on due dates and will accept only a few reasons to not attend the class because it will affect their grades.

He also talks about the big difference when you live in university, especially for the student who never goes to boarding school. They will have culture shock because the difference of environment. The parents and teacher can't control what you are doing in university and the friends that you choose will bring you to either good action or bad action.

When it's almost the end, he just touches the tip of every module and he really hope we seriously learn this course because we could use the technique of every module for almost any university that we will go.
