Module 2: Goal Setting

Assalamualaikum wbt. My name is Azim and this program interim will be filled with courses that must be taken for all of UiTM student. One of the courses is UED 102 which is study skills that like it's called, skill in the study. At first I thought it's a useless courses that I must take but then it's really helped me to study.

Last week, all of the student (part 1) is being lectured other than supposedly by group because most of the lecturers that being assigned to handle the designated group is busy. During the next week, the courses progress as usual and glad I didn't sleep after Sahur because the class at 8.15 am (stay awake to do other homework because I brought the same style of study from school).

Module 2: Goal Setting & Learning Management System

Goal setting may involve establishing specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bounded (SMART) objectives, but not all researchers agree that these SMART criteria are necessary.

Research on goal setting by Edwin A. Locke and his colleagues suggests that goal setting can serve as an effective tool for making progress when it ensures that group members have a clear awareness of what each person must do to achieve a shared objective. On a personal level, the process of setting goals allows individuals to specify and then work toward their own objectives (such as financial or career-based goals). Goal-setting comprises a major component of personal development and management.

Goals can be long-term, intermediate, or short-term. The primary difference is the time required to achieve them.Wikipedia: Goals Setting

Encik Akmal Hisham, our assigned lecturer for my group (RB1A) teaches us about the Module 2: Goal Setting (he is also assessing our both E-Portfolio [Blog] and group assignment [Video]). He teaches from what is the meaning of the goal, to how to accomplish it. One of the activities that I manage to achieve in the class is 'Goal Statement: The Five Step Approach'.
  1. Write down what you want to accomplish
  2. Write down any obstacles
  3. Write down any resources around you
  4. Review and revise your goal statement
  5. Polish your goal statement

Short Term
A short term goal is something you will want to do in the near future. It's mean today, this week, this month or even a year. The short term is something that you want to accomplish as soon as you can.

Long Term

A long term goal is that you want to do in future. Long term goal requires time and planning. Long term usually takes more than a year to accomplish. Even though it's made most people quit before they accomplish it, it is the most satisfying thing to get when you accomplish it.

And even Hari Raya Goals

I think this is not required to be explained...

This is my Goals(from short to long term [and even Hari Raya Goals because it's almost close])

Thank you because of reading my blog. Hopefully we can catch up next week.
If you can't reach your goal,
Don't be diffident and ask for others help
Never give up!
